Join us at the stunning Hartwick Pines State Park (US-1503) in Grayling, MI for the Michigan POTA Meetup 2026! Surrounded by old-growth pines and serene forest trails, this northern Michigan gem sets the stage for a memorable day of radio activity and community connection.
📅 Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026 – Day Use Shelter near the Chapel in the Woods
⏰ Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Make the most of your visit by reserving a campsite for the weekend. Camping reservations will be available on the Michigan State Parks & Harbor Reservations Website.
We aim to schedule the meetup to align with the Michigan DNR’s "Three Free" weekend, which typically includes free admission to all state parks as part of their Support Your Parks initiative. This means you might not need a Recreation Passport for park entry that weekend — but we encourage all attendees to check the Michigan DNR website for the most current details and confirmation as the date approaches.
Take advantage of the full experience by exploring Hartwick Pines’ camping options, trail systems, and historic logging museum. Whether you're activating, logging contacts, or simply enjoying the natural setting, this is a great chance to connect with fellow operators and enjoy Michigan's outdoors.
This gathering continues to offer a relaxed, informal atmosphere for amateur radio enthusiasts of all skill levels. Come and go as you like — the day is designed to be open-ended, with a flexible schedule and plenty of opportunities to operate, share ideas, and enjoy the scenery.
